Toronto based painter, Joseph Romantini is a leading contemporary artist who is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design in Drawing and Painting. "Pose is about a organized presentation that is ideal. Posture is where we all live. It’s not ideal because it’s about reality. My work is about reality. The use of the body in my work is to show it being impacted by the experiences of life. The emotional and psychological place that the body clearly expresses, also exposes parts that we can’t handle , resolve or face. Communicating these concerns to the viewer is a way of sharing what it is like to be alive.”
